Meet Our Founder

Jamal Jones

Founder & Principal

Jamal is the Principal and Lead Developer of the Velasight platform. Driven by a vision to solve the challenge of fragmented data silos in cities, he designed and built Velasight's multi-agent AI system from the ground up.

Jamal holds a Master’s Degree in International Real Estate from FIU and completed postgraduate technical training at MIT in Data Science & Machine Learning, cementing his expertise in knowledge graphs and AI orchestration.

His background combines technical innovation with deep industry experience, including work with ISPs in the EMEA region and market analytics for the Atlanta Housing Authority. In recognition of his contributions to the field, Jamal was recently inducted into Marquis Who's Who (2025-2026).

Jamal is the author of "How to Use AI for Property Feasibility" and developed Velasight to demonstrate how AI can unify disparate data to push cities like Atlanta toward Smart City status—an achievement underscored by the startup's recent acceptance into the Neo4j for Startups Program.
